We are pleased to share with you the first in a series of GRAPHISOFT user case study videos, shot during the Kyoto KCC event earlier this year.

This interview was conducted with William Cheung, Director of Hong Kong-based LWK & Partners whose firm is in a transition to BIMcloud and ARCHICAD.

In the interview, Mr. Cheung introduces the 600-person architectural office and gives a short insight into their ARCHICAD implementation process.

With more than 30 years of experience, LWK & Partners is known as one of the key architects in the high-end residential development found in Hong Kong and China.

LWK & Partners is among those architectural practices that have multiple designs among the world’s 100 tallest buildings.

The firm was one of the earliest in Hong Kong to convert to BIM more than 10 years ago, but after facing various usability obstacles with the chosen software, they suspended the process for years.

Last year, they started their ARCHICAD pilot with the help of GRAPHISOFT Hong Kong. Now, the firm is using 40 ARCHICAD licenses from the schematic design stages of selected projects of various scales and are planning to double that number by the end of the year. LWK is also involved in shaping Hong Kong’s government BIM policy.
